THE EXHIBITION
Hazel Benini attended the opening night cocktail party with 800 guests sipping ‘Benini Belini’s’ as they listened to her speak about Bruno’s life and work.
Entering the exhibition, guests walked through the ‘mock-up’ studio entry with walls of Bruno’s favourite blow up portraits and fashion prints. Continuing, they viewed his first camera, an iconic Hasselblad, before the studio, complete with props and rolls of background paper.
The darkroom was followed by areas with large and small photographs highlighting the diversity of top fashion designers’ garments and accessories from the 1950’s through to 2000.
A special room with full length mirrors had dramatic fashion shots and portraits from the exhibition projected in full or in part.
